Frequently asked questions.
Is LumaSync Cloud free?
Yes. The Free plan gives you 2 GB of storage and the full app, free. Paid plans with more storage are announced above and switch on soon — billing isn't live yet.
How do I install the APK?
Tap Download APK, open the file, and allow “Install unknown apps” when Android asks. Updates install in place, so your files and login stay put.
Who can read my files?
Only you, after you sign in. Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest, and they stay private until you share them. A share link lets anyone who has it open the file until you revoke it or it expires.
How do I back up my photos?
Turn on Back up photos & videos in Settings › Photos, or flip the switch at the top of the Gallery tab. New photos and videos then copy to a Camera uploads folder on your drive while the app is open.
Will backing up use my mobile data?
No. Automatic backups wait for Wi-Fi, so they never touch your data plan. On mobile data, Settings › Photos offers Back up now to send them right away instead.
What happens if I forget my password?
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a link to choose a new one. Your files are waiting for you as soon as you're back in.
How do I share a file?
Open a file, tap Share and create a link. Anyone with the link can open the file until you revoke it or it expires. Add someone as Editor from the same sheet to let them make changes or comment.
How does the app lock work?
A PIN, password or your device unlock guards the app on top of your account. Set it under Settings › Security and choose how soon it locks when you leave.
What counts toward my storage?
Everything you store — including items in Trash until you empty it.
Which platforms are supported?
Android today, straight from this page. iPhone, iPad, macOS and Windows apps are coming soon.
